Hello, I have the same laptop that you, the Asus ROG GL553VD (with the i7-7700HQ processor). Can I ask you guys a couple of questions? I installed Mojave some days ago, using some of you files:

- What is your idle processor freq? Mine on idle is over 1.4 Ghz and I think that's no good.

- How did you make Fn keys to work? (I specially want to turn off/control keyboard backlight)

- How can I know if Nvidia GPU is off? I know I can't use it with Hackintosh but maybe it's using some power, I don't know really.

- Also, anytime I connect a 3.0 device I have to plug it in the 2.0 port otherwise I can't access.

I'm a little newbie but learning lots, sorry if Im asking a lot haha, hope you can help me!

Hey! I've made a SSDT patch for USB3.0 and Type C if you want it. I think it will work on any GL-553-VD

but touchpad doesn't worked !!! I checked it but I can't fixed it .

I deleted the AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext + AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext in S/L/E

and did

sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/ && sudo kextcache -u/

sudo kextcache -i /

and tested i2c kext on s/l/e (VoodooI2C.kext + VoodooI2CHID.kext )
but but but doesn't worked ....

I get IORegistryExplorer for checking . please check it and help please . thank you .

when booted system with new DSDT.aml file , touchpad worked good but when I tested these patching code for last edit by you , doesn't worked.

I got IORegistryExplorer file when I booted system with new DSDT.aml ( working touchpad ) for checking .

Hi mt-fr ,

Maybe it would be better if we try to eliminate the patched DSDT.aml. Please delete DSDT.aml and add the attached file to "/CLOVER/ACPI/patched".

The developer of VoodooI2C.kext + VoodooI2CHID.kext recommends to install this files to "/CLOVER/kexts/Other". Only from "/CLOVER/kexts/Other" this kext's should work properly.

Now I understand what you mean.

This DSDT.am patch fits only to this one VoodooI2C.kext in this post and is outdated.

For the new VoodooI2C.kext + VoodooI2CHID.kext V2.1.4 this patch blocks the function and can not be used anymore.

You need now only this patch:

Instead of this patch, the SSDT-HACK.aml should also work if it fits to your original DSDT.aml.

It is important that you completely remove the posted patch from your system. >>> # Allows I2C controllers and devices to be discovered by OS X

I only use voodooi2c kext in /CLOVER/kexts/Other .

I can't understand this , what most I do now ?

Only with DSDT.AML + Windows 10 patch

Not with SSDT-HACK.aml

......

Can you fix ssdt-hack.aml ? Because when I used it system boot faster than when I use dsdt.aml

we are fixed battery life for 5 or 6 hours !!! and FN keys but brightness + sleeping + airplane mode + ... keys doesn't work only audio FN keys work ... need working more and more

**** keyboard backlight doesn't working because this laptop has aura keyboard and we haven't patch for control it !!!! ****
