Sehr schlechte OpenCL Performance

    Guten Tag!

    Ich betreibe aktuell meinen Hackintosh mit der aktuellsten Version von Sonoma.

    Specs:

    - Ryzen 9 5950X

    - Radeon RX 6950 XT

    - 64GB RAM


    Meine aktuellen Kernel Extensions:


    Nachdem mein Hack jetzt vernünftig ohne Probleme hochfährt, möchte ich mich um die Grafikprobleme kümmern.

    Die Geekbench Scores sind für OpenCL sehr niedrig. Unter Metal läuft alles ohne Probleme.

    Das Bestätigt sich auch durch die relativ geringe Bildrate in Minecraft.



    Gibt es eine bekannte Lösung dafür?

    Ich hab wohl einen Reddit Post gefunden, aber keiner hat eine wirkliche Lösung für das Problem gehabt.

    Das einzige, was ich vorschlagen kann, ist, das SMBIOS auf MacPro7,1 zu ändern.

    Also eigentlich solltest du so 130000-150000 Punkte haben mit der 6950 XT.


    Ändere mal die Reihenfolge der Kexte und pack mal whatevergreen rein, braucht man da zwar nicht, aber würde ich mal testen.

    Aktuell benutz ich ja NootRX, deshalb kein adpmod=pikera in den Boot-Args.
    Ich wechsle mal zu WhateverGreen und schaue obs besser wird.

    EDIT:
    Jetzt mit WhateverGreen und den Boot-Args ist die Hardwarebeschleunigung komplett weg und die Grafikkarte wird auch nicht mehr angezeigt.

    Ich habe das komplett ausgeblendet, dass du eine 6950 XT hast.

    Dafür müsste man einen Spoof einbinden, da die 6950 XT nicht nativ unterstütz wird, sondern nur die 6900 XT.


    Habe meine GPU auf eine RX 6950 XT aufgerüstet : r/hackintosh (reddit.com)


    Für meine 6900 XT nutze ich nur Whatevergreen mit dem Bootarg.


    Ich meine SchmockLord hat eine 6950 XT.

    also you can use this in your Device Properties section in your config plist

    obviusly using also Whatevergreen kext and a correct ACPI path for your GPU

    i use Hackcheck app or similar to find my path

    It doesnt corrupt anything in your system

    To download it ditectly you should have a hello post or two post in italian forum

    Used Hackintool now instead.

    Do I need to enter the DeviceID from the marked entry in Hackintool and enter enough zeros to fit the same format?

    You have to copy my screenshot and only to change left path with yours

    If you like post tour config and copy paste here paste here your acpi path

    yes it seems fine

    if you use pikera as bootarg you can skip this in DP

    i use it in DP

    remember to use whatevergreen kext

    i use hack check, but if you like you can also try to use a SSDT like this

    You have to check in IOREG your path and change them accordly

    With DP it should work so i think some errors i cant see by now (sorry)
