Hello Apfel-Baum,
Where is the current efi from today please ?
Thanks
Hi Apfel-Baum,
Yesterday I installed 10.16.1 (Big Sur).
System loading is much faster than under OZ. Only downside perhaps, the verbose mode.
For unresolved issues:
- no internet nor RJ45 (Atheros AR8151), nor Wifi (Dlink DWA-121 Wireless N150 dongle),
- two usb3 ports missing - EJ168.
Is there a fairly easy way to inject the new kexts if needed into the OC environment?
Thank you for your contribution.
Great ! I am busy doing the job.
Can you tell me which one to download please? Thank you.
Ok that's very nice.
I will launch the complete procedure and come back to keep you informed of the result.
Everything will be alright.
Now get to work!
As I understand it, I am not creating a new "OC" folder in the EFI partition?
Thank you very much for this successful work.
But could you answer me concerning the previously mentioned question:
"I think it will also be appropriate to rearrange the efi partition with the correct settings? and which ones?"
kexts ? dsdt ? ssdt ? or others ?
and thank you again
No need to worry about finding my original bios; I saved it. So I can restore it without difficulty.
As for the new version of bios that you propose: nvme-ubu-mod; do i have to have an nvme ssd drive? or can i still continue to work with my current ssd?
And does this bios already have the correct parameters to start OC?
I think it will also be appropriate to rearrange the efi partition with the correct settings? and which ones?
I know ... I am a burden ...
Hi Apfel-Baum,
Thanks for your return.
I indicated the revision of my motherboard in my previous post (Rev.1.0).
I don't quite understand where to find the current version of my bios that you have prepared.
Reflashing my bios using my original bios is not a problem; however, i dont see what you call one of the nvme-mod-ubu-current bios?
You would be nice to help me please!
Yours truly.
Hi all,
Intending to migrate from Ozmosis to Opencore to run on Big Sur or Monterey, I would like to know if it is possible to extract the compressed file "OzmosisDefaults" and convert it to plist to integrate it into the EFI partition of my system disk.
Also, could I know how to prepare my Gigabyte Z77-D3H.23b Rev.1.0 rom to load my new configuration without problem?
If any of you would be kind enough to give me a hand, that would be great.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Raptortosh,
Thank you for the new updated rom that works.
The only remark I can make, and it is an observation in use, when launching the operating system when displaying the Apple logo, the machine takes about 5 seconds to launch the bar loading.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you again for your work.
Friendly.
Hello,
I just updated my bios with the Z77-D3H rom that Raptortosh communicated to me.
I have a problem at startup after the appearance of the Apple logo, no loading progress display takes place despite a reset of the PRAM.
Thank you for your help.
Hi everyone and especially to Raptortosh
I just noticed the appearance of the new special KernextPatcher 10.15.4.
Thank you for updating my rom which I will try as soon as possible.
See you later.
Is this a definitive failure please or will there be a solution soon for ozmosis?
Otherwise is there in my case a simple way to migrate on opencore and how?
I understand that I ask you a lot but I want to progress with your support.
Sorry but it was you who recently modified my ozmosis rom to allow it to be used on Catalina. It worked correctly until version 10.15.3, however this morning I did the silly thing to update to 10.15.4, and there I again have a black screen at launch after the apple and the line progression. What to do now ? Thanks again for your help.
Hi Raptortosh,
Indeed, I found the configuration in my bios, and since I disabled the serial port everything is ok.
Thanks again to you and nokiachangzhi.
Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
However I do not have in the bios parameter "serial port" to set to disable. Refer to the two attached images.
As for your system startup problems, I'm afraid I can't help you being a hackintosh newbie.
I thank in advance the forum for helping me to solve my problem.
Hi,
Since I installed catalina, when I woke up from sleep, the PC is running but the screen remains black. Can you tell me if you have an idea of the cause of this situation?
Thank you in advance.
