bei mir musste ich nichts weiter einstellen, das upgrade auf macOS 10.15 hat bei mir auch auf anhieb funktioniert.

Hey there,
I've bought a cheap MacPro 1,1 and flashed it to MacPro 2,1.afaik there is no macOS, which is up to date and suitable with old MacPro¥s... so i've installed a Win10*64Bit inclusive of all Bootcamp Driver.
I couldn't find a complete guide for this procedure, so i've written one of myself...
Requirements:
MacPro 1,1 or MacPro2,1 inclusive intern DVD-Rom.
MacOS 10.6.8 (macOS 10.6.8 v1.1 did not work for me!)
1x Windows 10 x64 PC
Flash MacPro1,1 to MacPro2,1
1. Start your MacPro 1,1 and update to macOS 10.6.8 (NOT 10.6.8 v1.1.)
(all versions except 10.6.8 did not work here and only shown "error 5530" )
2. Load MacPro2006-2007FirmwareTool.zip
3. Restart your MacPro one time, start the program and follow the instructions.
4. Shut off your MacPro.
5. Hold the "POWER"button of your MacPro down, till the LED starts blinking.
6. Now your MacPro should start and install the firmwareupgrade automatically.
Here is a list of which CPUs are supported by your MacPro 2.1
I took 2 Xeon 5355 in the G0 Stepping as they only cost 4.50€ each.
Those work totally fine with me.
Create a Win10 install DVD:

2. Open drive "C:" and create the following folders:
C:\winexe
C:\winiso
C:\windvd
3. Download oscdimg.exe and copy this file to "winexe"
4. Unzip your Windows 10 ISO into "windvd".
5. Open command prompt and enter the following commands:
cd c:/winexe
oscdimg -n -m -bc:\windvd\boot\etfsboot.com c:\windvd c:\winiso\win10x64.iso
6. As soon as it's done you have the file "win10x64.iso" in the folder "winiso" which you burn on DVD now
7. Remove all HDDs from your MacPro except those you want to install Windows on.
8. Insert the burned DVD and install Windows as usual.
- It's necessary to use a Win10 Pro, so that both processors are recognized that you have installed!
Install Win10 64Bit Bootcamp and drivers:
1. Start your MacPro and boot into the new installed Windows 10
2. Download the latest version of Brigadier.exe from here.
3. Create a new folder on the desktop where you copy the file into.
4. Open the file and follow the instructions.
5. Open the command prompt as an administrator and enter the following command:
net user administrator /active:yes
6. Restart your Macpro and go into the now visible Administrator account
7. Now go to the folder that you've created on the desktop and open:
Bootcamp - Drivers - Apple
8. Open the file "BootCamp64", now BootCamp installs itself in the 64 bit version so that you have ALL drivers at the end.
9. Restart the MacPro and login to your Windows account.
10. Open the command prompt again and enter the following command:
net user administrator /active:no
11. Restart your MacPro once again
And now: congratulations... you have made a MacPro 2.1 out of your MacPro 1.1 and now it got Win10*64Bit.
The hardware may be old, yet it provides enough power for all day-to-day tasks in 2019.

Schönen guten Tag,
ich habe vor kurzem ein MacPro 1,1 günstig bekommen, diesen dann zu einem MacPro 2,1 geflasht.
Da es soweit mir bekannt kein macOS gibt welches halbwegs aktuell ist und auf den alten MacPro´s läuft habe ich Windows 10 in der 64Bit Version installiert inkl aller Bootcamp Treiber.
Ich habe kein Komplettes Guide dieser Art gefunden und daher mal selber eins gemacht.
Vorraussetzungen:
MacPro 1,1 oder MacPro2,1, mit einem funktionierenden Internen DVD Laufwerk.
macOS 10.6.8 (macOS 10.6.8 v1.1 funktionierte bei mir nicht!)
Ein Windows 10 x64 PC
MacPro1,1 zu MacPro2,1 flashen
1. Startet euren MacPro 1,1 und updatet auf macOS 10.6.8, nicht 10.6.8 v1.1.
(Bei mir hat ausschließlich 10.6.8 funktioniert, alle anderen versionen gaben "error 5530" aus)
2. ladet euch MacPro2006-2007FirmwareTool.zip
3. Startet euren MacPro einmal neu, startet das Programm und folgt den Anweisungen.
4. Schaltet den MacPro aus.
5. Haltet den Einschalter vom MacPro gedrückt bis die LED anfängt zu blinken.
6. Nun sollte euer MacPro Starten und das Firmwareupgrade automatisch installieren.
Hier findet ihr eine Liste welche CPU´s von euren MacPro 2,1 unterstützt werden.
Ich habe 2 Xeon 5355 im G0 Stepping genommen da diese nur 4,50€ das Stück gekostet haben.
Diese funktionieren fehlerfrei bei mir.
Windows 10 Installations DVD erstellen:

2. Öffnet Laufwerk "C:" und erstellt dort folgende Ordner:
C:\winexe
C:\winiso
C:\windvd
3. Ladet euch oscdimg.exe und kopiert sie in den Ordner "winexe"
4. Entpackt euer Windows 10 ISO in den Ordner "windvd".
5. Öffnet Eingabeaufforderung und gebt folgende Befehle ein:
cd c:/winexe
oscdimg -n -m -bc:\windvd\boot\etfsboot.com c:\windvd c:\winiso\win10x64.iso
6. Sobald er fertig ist habt ihr in dem Ordner "winiso" die Datei "win10x64.iso" die ihr nun auf DVD Brennt
7. Entfernt alle Festplatten aus eurem MacPro ausser der auf die ihr Windows installieren wollt.
8. Legt die eben gebrannte DVD ein und installiert ganz normal Windows.
- Es muss zwingend Windows 10 Pro sein damit beide Prozessoren erkannt werden die ihr verbaut habt!
Windows 10 64Bit Bootcamp und Treiber installieren:
1. Startet euren MacPro und bootet in das frisch installierte Windows 10
2. Ladet euch von hier die aktuellste version von Brigadier.exe.
Ich habe diese Version genommen.
3. Erstellt auf dem Desktop einen neuen Ordner wo ihr die Datei rein kopiert.
4. Öffnet die Datei und folgt den Anweisungen.
5. Öffnet die Eingabeaufforderung als Administrator und gebt folgenden Befehl ein:
net user administrator /active:yes
6. Startet euren Macpro neu und geht in das nun zu sehende Administrator Konto
7. Geht nun in den Ordner den ihr auf dem Desktop erstellt habt und öffnet:
Bootcamp - Drivers - Apple
8. Öffnet die Datei "BootCamp64", nun installiert sich BootCamp in der 64 bit Version so das ihr am ende ALLE Treiber habt.
9. Startet den MacPro neu und meldet euch in EUREM Windows Account an.
10. Öffnet wieder die Eingabeaufforderung und gebt folgenden ein:
net user administrator /active:no
11. Startet euren MacPro nochmal neu
Zu guter letzt Herzlichen Glückwunsch, ihr habt aus euren MacPro 1,1 einen 2,1 gemacht und nun Windows 10 in der 64Bit Version drauf.
Die Hardware mag zwar alt sein, dennoch bietet sie genug Leistung für alle alltäglichen Aufgaben im Jahr 2019.
Falls die oben genannten Links mal down sein sollten habe ich sie nochmal als Backup hochgeladen.

nachtrag:
der dvd brenner läuft nun wirklich super an nem anderen sata port
das ergänzende 10.14.6 update kann ich aber bisher noch immer nich installieren, da bricht er quasi beim start direkt ab und startet sich neu

stimmt, jetzt geht es auch ohne inject !
nach der installation musste ich es aber machen da sonst beide monitore "kein signal" hatten.
jetzt erkennt er auch die vega 56 richtig.

also, mit der onboard GPU konnte ich 10.14.6 ohne probleme installieren !
danach hab ich die vega 56 wieder eingebaut, in clover "inject AMD" und "inject intel gpu" aktiviert und nu startet er auch wunderbar.
problem wäre ggf noch das macOS mit anzeigt das es eine vega 64 und keine vega 56 ist
wie bekomme ich es nu hin das die beiden "inject" sachen automatisch in clover aktiviert sind?
das mit dem brenner werd ich irgendwann mal in ruhe testen, das eilt ja nicht

bei updaten bricht er immernoch nach/ bei dem initislisieren ab.
wenn ich versuch 10.14.6 direkt neu zu installieren kommt wieder dieser fehler

das Laufwerk öffnet sich auch noch wie am Fließband

bevor ich nun nochmal editier, es scheinen auch nur 3 der usb anschlüsse hinten zu funktionieren.

hab in der box ein wenig aufgeräumt, ist jetzt nurnoch das aktuelle clover drin.
wenn ich updaten möchte kommt das dabei raus: klick
dann dacht ich mir das ich einfach mal einen bootstick mit 10.14.6 erstell und es neu installiere, dabei kommt dann die meldung: klick
(Clover wieder nach dieser Anleitung erstellt)

die vega 56 hat er auch als "vega 64" erkannt

nun hab ich nurnoch 2 probleme:
1. dreht der grafiklüfter permanent auf 100%
2. öffnet sich der dvd brenner wie am fließbandhast du ggf dafür auf die schnelle auch lösungen? =)

ok, auf anhieb hat es leider nicht geklappt, es hängt nun bei apfs_module_start:1334.
im bios habe ich folgendes eingestellt:
VT-d disable
Secure Boot Mode disable
IO Serial Port disable
XHCI Handoff Enabled

moin moin, ich muss in absehbarer zeit wieder auf osx umsteigen und habe von damals noch einen installationsstick mit (ich glaube) osx 10.14.2.
nun würde ich gerne wissen ob es mit meiner vorhandenen hardware möglich wäre einen hackintosh zu "basteln" und ob man den alten osx stick nutzen könnte?
