I have tested a 6900xt of a user in another forum
Candle benchmark in Davinci resolve classic 66 and 6 nodes produces a speed comparable to my previous Vega 64 in metal
17 fps (66 nodes)
21 fps (6 TRN nodes)
In a job i have done in 8k i cant see any workflow difference with my actual GPU (3090)
Candel Benchmark is not good with first release (metal/OSX drivers)
System used AMD 3970x 256 Gb AMD 6900 xt

May i ask if some of you have tested Davinci Candle Benchmark with 6800xt/6900xt in metal if available at this development driver stage?

I am very curious to see a run of Puget Davinci Resolve benchmark in a M1 system..with a special observation on temperature during this test.
Apple Silicon is a "future" great thing if i think of a multipurpose user and software...
For now..it is a style exercise with good chance to be something better in 2/3 years... (only my opinion no offence at all to M1 owner)

For now i have sold my 6900xt and i have bought a 3090 FE (huge price on ebay)
The card is not worth the money I spent, little difference with the softwares I use in my pipeline compared to the 6900xt
I like only its design...memory temps are a "%**

today on AMD other little chance of about 3 minutes to buy a 6900xt/ 6800xt and also 5900x cpu...
maybe less time of 3 minutes..

I have my own tests with Davinci Resolve and my Vega 64
With OpenGl and davinci I have much lower results in OSX than Metal and comparable but always lower than metal in windows (in windows only in OpenGl of course)
I hope so
also because in a few days I will have an XFX Speedster 6800 xt and an AMD 6900 Xt reference..and I wouldn't want to give them both away to get an RTX 3090 -
I hope that if OSX support arrives, there will be added value on Metal and therefore some situations will be rebalanced even for use with software such as DaVinci Resolve or others, where today, Nvidia wins even with lower level cards.
I am confident that in windows it is also a driver problem ...
we'll see!

I have preordered (sob) on amazon US a 6900 xt custom (TUF Asus)
Listing was @1149 $, with shipping and custom duty for my country 1242 € on 24 th December ...
they deleted my order on 29 December
