Kannst du das etwas weiter ausführen? Also meinst du mit Custom Firmware, oder nur mit dem Überbrücken von PIN 3 und 5? Welche PINs sind denn überhaupt gemeint, vom TB Kabel? Und falls ja, was bedeutet eingeschränkt?

habe eine GIGABYTE GC-Titan Ridge Rev. 1.0 gekauft und Schande über mein Haupt, nicht vernünftig gelesen.. Jedenfalls soll die Karte bei mir in einen Linux Server (ohne TB-Header) und von dort aus in eine Windows VM weitergereicht werden (KVM/QEMU)..
Sehe ich das richtig, dass die Karte mit einer Custom Firmware auch ohne TB-Header läuft? Oder ist dieser Mod hier MacOS spezifisch? Falls ja, kann mir jemand die Karte gegen Aufwandsentschädigung flashen?

Laut dem User pin 3&5 überbrücken und es funktioniert ohne TB-Header!

I don't think the motherboard matters at all as I just shorted pin 3&5 as my motherboard doesn't have a header, and I have working TB3. Installed the drivers in Win10, installed the TB app it auto-recommends after driver install, et voila. Don't overthink this one.
