I have an amd fx4300 with mb asus with bios only legacy, and Nvidia 710, and I have problems, I'm trying with big sur.
oEither it crashes in pre verbose or if I change booter quirks it gives me that red screen.

it's still slow as before. A disk benchmark (DiskMark) takes very long and i actually never completed one.
Do you use connected hub? You are taking advantage of the hs wuindi usb 2.0 part and slower for this reason. Connect usb 3.0 device to type c and then do speed test

With this one the controller and the drives show up.
I will give an update about the speeds in a bit.
send log ioreg please

Yepp, once i saw this, I thought there must be a way that this can work. But never found one until today
try this with monterey and send ioreg

Grazie, sarebbe bello!
prova questo senza kext
-
hackmac004 send log ioreg Using the kext, and I'll make you ssdt for your build

I just copied a small folder from external HDD to the desktop with about 1,2MB/s. On a different USB port I have around 120 MB/s.
It also takes a long time untill the HDD appears on the desktop, but this varies as well.
edit: the speed with Usb Stick is normal.
try this ssdt without the kext (XHCI-AMD6900XT)
