All good, I guess the cable just wasn't connected properly.I am having very poor speed of transfer though.

I just copied a small folder from external HDD to the desktop with about 1,2MB/s. On a different USB port I have around 120 MB/s.It also takes a long time untill the HDD appears on the desktop, but this varies as well.edit: the speed with Usb Stick is normal.

With this one it looks the same as with the one before.I figured that the whole things works under Catalina without any kext or ssdt. I just checked again and there the external hdd is found, but is also slow. Pretty much the same behavior as in Monterey with kext.Here ist the ioreg from Catalina, if it is of any help.

I know, thats right. There I only have vesa mode, but there the usb-c is working also as a hub.

With this one no new controller is showing up in hackintool and no usb connection.

With this one the controller and the drives show up.I will give an update about the speeds in a bit.

it's still slow as before. A disk benchmark (DiskMark) takes very long and i actually never completed one.

The hub is build into the monitor.When I use a USB 3.0 adpater (dont know if this small adapter is actually any good) to usb-c directly into the GPU it shows up quicker at the desktop and i got this speed.directly to USB 3.0USB-C from mainboard to Monitor I get this.With adapter to mainboard usb-c:Yepp, looks like the adapter is not really good.edit: I have tested now also with a thunderbolt cable, which doesn't change anything.
