  • Edit by derHackfan: Taken from the Ozmosis Request Thread.Hi, I would like to ask if it's possible to mod this board's bios:1) Asus2) MAXIMUS VII RANGER (rev. 1.02)3) Chipset Z974) Bios version 35035) Bios: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/…-VII-RANGER-ASUS-3503.zip6) OS: MacOS Mojave
  • Thank you for your work modifying bios, but looks like there is some bug or maybe ASUS included some sort of new protection against modified bios, because PC posts only when there are no hard drive or flash drive attached. Maybe you could modify an older version of Bios: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/…-VII-RANGER-ASUS-3003.zip1) Asus2) MAXIMUS VII RANGER (rev. 1.02)3) Chipset Z974) Bios version 30035) Bios link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/…-VII-RANGER-ASUS-3003.zip6) OS: MacOS Mojave
  • I flashed bios from this archive: MAXIMUS-VII-RANGER-ASUS-3003.rom.zip and this time pc posts with no problems. After a successful Mojave install I can't boot from ssd, I don't even get ozmosis bootloader screen. Tried USB flash drive with clover installed and it finds all partitions and I can boot into Mojave ssd. Tried reseting nvram, but that doesn't solve my problem.
  • Also is darboot required? Because it is also absent from BIOS you have provided.Update:I inserted darboot.ffs into last modified bios and now pc posts normally and ozmosis shows all partitions. Thank you @derHackfan MOD_MAXIMUS-VII-RANGER-ASUS-3003.zip
  • I did the same as derHackfan. Thankfully Asus still uses DIP8 type spi flash chips, so flashing is very easy. I used flashcatUSB and TL866 II plus programmers.
